OP update and Grace
>> Wednesday, March 4, 2009
I have been working at my OP quilt, but other things too. Like most quilters I have (too) many projects on the go - and many more percolating! For now, I am working on some more borders for the OP.This border will go across the top of the quilt. It's made from all the 'waste' triangles I made. I have plans to make 'piano keys', simple 2 1 /2 inch strips of scraps down both sides of the quilt. I will need 26 for each side. Luckily I just finished a box of tea (using the last bag, not literally drinking the whole box today!) and found the pieces fit just right inside.
Under the box are my cut border strips, hoping they will fit when I get that far. The plaid squares are me anticipating yet another project! The mitten under my blog title is for a pattern I'm designing. The plaid squares are for a different color arrangement and setting for yet more mittens. I think they're cute! And since we still have piles of snow here I'm still in winter mode. My plans for a spring/Easter project have been set aside. For now.
I almost forgot about the "GRACE"! I'm working along on the Pat Sloan and Emilie Richards "A Season of Grace" advent quilt. Here are my first two stockings.
Cute, eh?! You can join in too. Check out http://patsloan.typepad.com/quiltershome/ for the beginning instructions. They are in her 'free pattern' section. You also need to go to http://www.emilierichards.com/richards-quilt-studio.htm to find March's stocking instructions. Her instructions are in the Block of the Month section.
That's all for today. Sarah Vee.
