A Second Look at Cake

Last Tuesday I shared my Layer Cake choice for this
You can go to this post to get all the start up details.
Well, you can also make this quilt using fat quarters.
I'm going to be using this collection, called "Bejeweled" by Susie Robbins for P&B Textiles.
I won them through Pat Sloan's blog and have been looking for a project for them.
I will have a nice, BRIGHT, Christmas sampler when I'm done, too.

I've chosen solid red for my accent colour, so I took out the red fat quarters.
No problem - there were 18 in the collection.
I may use these in the border or for another project.
I haven't decided on the border yet.
Not sure I can get more of this fabric, or if I should pick another solid to go with all the prints!
You could also make up your own fat quarter collection using your stash.
Make sure you follow along over at Moose on the Porch Quilts to keep up with the Quilt A Long.
One more Tuesday before the fun begins!

Wow, those are BRIGHT! So very you.
You are doing NaNoWriMo again this year? Good luck. Do I get to read it?
