Monday's Bits and Pieces

Lots of bits and pieces of different projects - again!

Two of this month's string blocks completed. Two to go.

Parts of different Christmas gifts - won't go into too much detail here so I won't reveal what they will be:)

The star block is called "Swamp Angel" from Diana McClun and Laura Nownes, "Quilts! Quilts! Quilts!". It's the beginning of a pillow I am making for a niece's baptism. The block will finish at 12 inches - I will need to add 2" borders for it to fit my pillow form.

There are other projects that I'm working on this week, mostly baking for my daughter's figure skating Festive Bake Sale on Saturday. Did you see the links in my sidebar for the 2 Christmas Cookie hops?! Great timing:)

Check out the other design walls this week linked up at Judy's blog.

  7. With Christmas it's surprizing how many DWM there were this morning. Good thing we only have to keep the surprises for another month.

  8. When I'm using stash (which that's what I'm normally doing) I'll make 10 1/2 string blocks mixed in with other colors from the quilts top. Most times I've got enough pieces of what was used in the quilt to bring them together and use up the whole piece of fabric! Look forward to your Christmas Gifts Reveal. Should be a great Quilt Show. Happy Thanksgiving. Sandi

  9. Silly me I failed to mention that the 10 1/2 string blocks go with other 10 1/2 block when making the backs.
