Monday Design Wall

My Design walls are still busy, but mostly with things that are waiting for next year.
I have one more December string block to finish. I'm planning to tie this quilt - or use buttons and rick rack. It will be my year end project that I do when my Christmas gifts are completed.
You can see what the first 6months of blocks look like together here. I'm excited - this quilt's for me!
A leftover patchwork Scottie dog. You can see what I did with his partner here. I might make my niece a pillow with the dog on it for her January birthday.
More liberated churn dashes made by my Sew Modern Bee mates are arriving at my house. I'm behind on making the large churn dashes to go with them. This will be a quilt for our queen size bed for my husband's birthday gift in March. The house blocks are the signature blocks I asked for from my bee mates. They will go into a separate quilt for me.
{You can also see here that Christmas overflow has found it's way into my sewing space!}
This is my first Christmas gift project for this week. I'm making a selvage purse for one of my nieces in blue and green - her favourite colours. Then I only have 2 more nieces and teacher gifts and cookies to make. I might make some more Green Bag Lady bags too.
See how busy the other design walls are linked up at Judy's blog.
With Joy,
Sarah Vee

All of your projects look great. I like the colors in your string blocks, very cool.
My sewing space gets taken over to some extent for gift wrapping. My cutting table is just the right height for wrapping gifts. I guess I shouldn't complain, it keeps everyone off the dining room table!
Sounds like you have a few projects to work on. Hope you have a great day!
I love the liberated churn dash.
What a great idea to make a memory string quilt for each month of your quilting projects. I enjoyed reading about your fun Christmas gift sewing!
One thing I dont' have is a design wall. I need one! Something to work on I guess. Love yours and love seeing your blocks.
another Selvage saver...nice bags. I am making some things with my Selvages this year too. My Selvage ball is just getting way too big!
Have you ever made a jacket with your strip blocks? I'm thinking about making one. Sure has the potential for clearing out lots of scraps. I do like your strip stocking!
I really like your scottie dog. I can see this as an applique on a denim jacket. Hummmm, idea brewing!
