Still Churning - Design Wall Monday

>> Monday, February 21, 2011

My design wall this morning has a 15.5 inch liberated churn dash waiting for me. I am enjoying the discovery of different designs within each block which depend on fabric placement. For this one I've put the same blue in the centre of each corner triangle. Not sure yet what I'm going to do with the sides.

With my last large churn {30.5" unfinished} I started to place my fabric strips on angles and it made me think of a ribbon wrapping around the block.

Trimming the large churn left me with lots of fun strings to play with too!

I'm still looking for one more person to Pay It Forward to - check out this post for the details.

Enjoy looking at some more design walls through Judy's links.

Sarah Vee

I went to your original Pay It Forward post and it looked like you had your three. Gosh I'd like to be a part of this, but 2011 is going to be crazy with all the projects I've challenged myself to complete (many are Judy Neimeyer designs). I'll bet my Mom would be interested if you still need another. She doesn't have a blog, but I can certainly forward info along. This is a real neat project. Just as what you're showing of the liberated churn dash!

I'm loving what you are doing with the "liberated Churn Dash." It's wonderful!

Your Liberated Churn Dash. I love the twist on an old favorite.
