Every Stitch Counts - Chasing Joy

fabrics for qm100 project

This has been a busy week for me supply teaching in kindergarten. But, I do have a quilting project that needs to be done for next week so I've done my best to do a little bit every night.

I needed to pick out the fabrics I wanted to use for my Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks blog hop stop next week!

Be sure to stop by here next Tuesday, May 3rd, when I reveal my block and my project.
You can hop from Quiltmaker's blog to all of the different designers participating here:

trimming qm100 project hsts

There is a wee bit of trimming to do on some hsts, but it will be worth it! You know that I am a *converted trimmer* and trust me, on these smallish pieces, trimming is the way to go;)

new iron

This week also saw the sudden and unexpected finish of my iron! It just wouldn't heat up. I've had it for years, bought at a hardware store, but still. This week - really?!
Glad that there was a sale on at my local Canadian Tire - just about my only choice in my small town to shop for an iron. As you can see, I'm not picky AND I lucked out with the pretty green:) It heats up and does the job so I can't complain.

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already saw these photos - thanks for reading my blog too! When I work every day and have so little time to quilt - and I have a deadline - unfortunately blogging has to wait. So, tonight was blog night!

Stay tuned for next week - I'll be hopping and also blogging at QUILTsocial with a tutorial for a spring quilt!

Every stitch counts,

Sarah V.
