Februray Monthly Color Challenge

2020 Monthly Color Challenge

The color challenge for February is aqua. I never used to have this color in my stash. When I started gathering fabric for my On Ringo Lake quilt I started to buy turquoise, which in my mind is closely related to aqua. 

Here's my February block:

I used a batik and a cotton. I like how the dots in each of them contrast with the angular and twisting motion of the block. I was surprised to find a light and dark fabric to play with in this block. It's fun to look at your stash for specific colors - you might just see a fabric in a different light!
