February Quiltblockmania - Courthouse Steps

 Welcome to Quiltblockmania release day for February 2022!

This month's theme is wedding and I went with modifying a traditional pieced block - Courthouse Steps.

 This traditional block takes a modern look by varying the width of the steps. Whether you prefer piecing or applique, the Courthouse step block offers quilters many setting options. See the end of the pattern for one using alternate plain blocks where you can showcase free motion quilting. Enjoy!

There are many designers offering blocks this month. Visit their websites to find more blocks to create a Wedding Sampler quilt or maybe even find a new pattern to buy. Blocks are free this month, but designers may request you sign up for their newsletters (like me) and others may make the blocks a paid item after the month is over.
