Today I’m delighted to be part of the blog hop for Sherry Shish’s signature line of fabric, Love and Kisses.

You might know Sherry better as the quilter behind Powered by Quilting. Sherry reached out to other quilt designers this summer to invite us to spread the joy of her having a signature line of fabric with Island Batik. I couldn’t resist these happy colors and all the hearts. 

I had so many ideas initially for what to make with this fabric that I hit overwhelm pretty quickly and couldn’t decide. Once the fabric arrived and I saw the prints in person, I knew I had to design a new quilt pattern featuring hearts. 

And, if you take a look around my shop you’ll see that I had to include churn dashes too. 

Thus, Hearts and Churns was designed.

The pattern is next on my list to write and will be out in the new year. It will be 1 of at least 2 patterns that are fat quarter friendly. Subscribe to my newsletter to be notified when it’s released.

I couldn’t resist bringing out this cherished crocheted pig from my early childhood. The hearts and colors of this fabric make it a great choice for making keepsake quilts for little ones. There’s probably a few teens and big kids out there who would also appreciate the chance to wrap up in a quilt made with this fabric too. 

The fabric is available now – you could have a Valentine quilt done in time for this coming year 😉
