Sew Joy Creations

At Sew Joy Creations we use JOY to create.

Let the part of you that loves colour and making, touching pretty things and following whimsy lead you to your sewing machine and fabric stash.
Use my patterns as permission to create in your own way with fabrics you love.

Join me in making JOY the reason we quilt and how we feel as we do it!

Quilt Patterns

I design traditional patchwork patterns that make bright, colourful fabrics shine.
And other fabrics too!
I love a wide variety of styles of fabrics so I design with fabric in mind – not just solid colours.
I provide clear easy to follow quilt patterns: I do the math, add step by step instructions and labelled diagrams.

You follow along using my fabric choices as an entry point to create quilts that make your heart happy.

My Blog

I’ve been blogging for almost 2 decades! There’s a lot here and I’m working at making it easy for you to use and be inspired. You will find quilt alongs linked at the top of my page (Soon!) and this will take you the blog posts for each quilt along. There are also tutorials, peeks at personal projects and hopefully inspiration for you to get quilting!

Pink is the Spice of Life Here!

I never liked pink growing up. Actually avoided it. Then one day when I was starting to make quilts, pastel pink crept into the mix of fabrics for a baby quilt. I resisted. I squirmed. Then I played with the idea that just maybe this pink had a role to play in the quilt. And that’s when I learned that all colours are fair game for me when it comes to quilting.

Now pink is my superpower colour!

I hope my quilts and patterns encourage you to play with colour in your quilts. There is so much JOY to be discovered when you let creativity be your guide.

Hi! Great to See You!

Now you can go into why this site is what they are looking for! The average person spends about 15 seconds on a new site before deciding to stay or leave. So make it short and easy to read while trying to answer

  • Why does this site exist (your are offering a solution to something!)?
  • What makes your company/product/service unique/ crazy awesome?
  • Who is this site for?

Show them your human side! People want professionalism but they also prefer dealing with humans rather than faceless companies.

Don’t get bogged down! You’re going to do great! This is a short pitch and maybe you will only hit your stride after writing your first or second service/product page. You can always come back and change it. Even Margaret Atwood doesn’t get an intro right the first time!
