  • Quilty Barn + Mini Spools

Equals a Happy Quilt! My plan is to stop at 4 barns (!) and make them into a wallhanging for my diningroom, sashing them with my Bonnie Hunter mini spools. Here’s my second barn. Do you think I can stop myself at four?! Check out Nanette’s Quilty Barn top here. With Joy, Sarah Vee

  • April Aurifil BOM

A sweet, simple block this month. Most of my squares were already waiting for me as leftover strips from cutting the previous months’ blocks. You can see more Heart and Soul blocks at the Aurifil BOM flickr group. Link to April Aurifil BOM block. With Joy, Sarah Vee

  • March Full Moon Dreamboard

My March Dreamboard appeared in the REAL world for me. In the end I wrote down the most meaningful words. EAGLE – I currently supply teach on a First Nations Reserve. The school mascot is the Eagle – migize in Ojibway. Bald Eagles. I have seen several lately – flying over the road. Perched in…

  • Proof of Progress

I have been quilting, really! Here’s some proof. My daughter was generous enough to hold up this quilt top in progress. It’s called Traffic Jam and is designed by Pat Sloan. Soon the pattern will be available on her website if you haven’t been receiving her newsletter. I have enough blocks left to add two…

  • I joined the Quilty Barn Bandwagon

After Nanette posted that she had succumbed, I knew it would be okay that I did too! Lori made it too easy – she even included a tutorial to make your own weather vane block to fit inside! YAY! My first barn is done! Did you catch that? {wink} I put together another Traffic Jam…

So…

  • March Aurifil BOM

I found time to make this pretty and simple block.  I think it looks like spring! You can find the pattern at the Aurifil blog. Check out the flickr pool to see how changing the colour placement can bring the churn dashes in this block to life! I just may have to make another one:)…

  • A Quick Gift

    A Quick Gift

A quick rummage through my pile of UFOS and I discovered this block. Big enough for a little tabletopper. Trimmed a tad and turned into a pillow.  With fabric leftover for another project!   What quick gifts possibilities are hiding in your UFOS? Sarah Vee

  • Final Four

    Final Four

I finished up what I think will be the final four blocks for my Traffic Jam quilt.  I showed a photo of the first 20 blocks laid out here. My machine is getting a well deserved {overdue!} tuneup this week. I’m on March Break holidays my kids {a well deserved, overdue break!?} LOL Sarah Vee

  • Looking Forward

    Looking Forward

It’s easy to fool myself that I’m looking forward, when really I spend so much time looking back. I’m late posting my February dreamboard, but now it’s the new moon and time to start searching the deeps for next month’s full moon. Jamie’s prompts are in this post. Remember when you used to build…
